Raised in northern Pennsylvania, Colleen earned degrees in biology and marine science. Following service as a Peace Corps volunteer in Senegal, she came to the Eastern Panhandle in 2002 to begin work as a conservation genetics and genomics scientist at the USGS in Kearneysville. Over two decades later, she counts among her proudest accomplishments having raised two great kids and two pretty great dogs. She enjoys getting outside, seeing new places, and swimming. Her involvement with the Land Trust began in 2018 and she is excited to expand her contributions as a board member.
